These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BookAnyBarber.com and related services (the "Platform") operated by Idaman Barber (operating as "BNR", also "we", "our", "us"). BookAnyBarber and ListedBarber are trade names of Idaman Barber. By creating an account, loading your wallet, or booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have parent/guardian consent if between 13 and 17. You may not use the Platform if you have been previously banned or suspended.
When you create an account you provide your name, email, and phone number. You can load a prepaid wallet balance used to pay for bookings. Wallet funds are:
When you load your wallet, Stripe's processing fee (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) is passed through to you at the time of loading. The full face value of your load is credited to your wallet.
When you book a haircut or service:
If you cancel a wallet-paid booking before it is marked complete by the barber, the full amount (service + platform fee + tip) is refunded to your wallet.
These bookings are authorized on your card but not captured until the barber marks you as "SHOWED". If you cancel before the appointment, the authorization is voided (no charge on your statement). If the appointment is captured after you attended, refund requests go through the barber first; contact us if unresolved.
Cash bookings do not charge your wallet or card at confirmation. You pay the barber in cash at the shop. If you cancel before the appointment, there is no refund (you never paid the Platform). The platform fee for cash bookings is charged to the barber and is not your responsibility.
If a refund is issued back to your original card or payment method (rather than to your wallet), Stripe's refund processing fee (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per refund) is deducted from the refund amount. Refunds to wallet are made in full with no deduction.
If you attend the appointment but are unsatisfied, refund requests must be made to the barber directly. BNR is not a party to the service quality and does not mediate refunds for completed services unless the barber violated these Terms.
If you do not show up for a confirmed booking:
BNR maintains an internal reliability signal (the "Client Quality Score" or CQS) used to help the Platform function. The specific inputs, factors, and calculation methods are proprietary and confidential. You may see a badge tier on your profile. Barbers may see additional information.
CQS is internal to the Platform, is not a consumer credit score, and is not used or disclosed outside the Platform. CQS may affect your access to certain features or barbers.
You agree to contact BNR in writing at bnrcustomerservice@gmail.com before initiating any chargeback, dispute, or reversal with your bank or card issuer. We will work in good faith to resolve any charge concerns within 10 business days. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting BNR is a material breach of these Terms.
If you file a chargeback for any charge related to services that were actually rendered, or for wallet funds you successfully loaded and used, or without first contacting BNR in writing, the following consequences apply at BNR's sole discretion:
This policy does not limit your legal rights under applicable law (for example, the Fair Credit Billing Act), but it does allow BNR to protect against fraud and abuse.
You agree not to:
The Platform relies on proprietary algorithms, scoring systems, booking priority logic, matching logic, ranking logic, and business rules that constitute trade secrets of BNR. You agree not to reverse-engineer, probe, test, attempt to derive, publicly describe, or reproduce any portion of these systems. BNR may modify these systems at any time without notice. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to or interest in BNR's proprietary systems.
Barbers post photos and videos to CUTSIDE (our content feed). When you view or interact with CUTSIDE:
BNR participates in affiliate advertising programs, including Amazon Associates and other networks (such as CJ Affiliate, Impact, ShareASale, and direct brand programs). When you click an affiliate link on the Platform and make a qualifying purchase, BNR may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Product availability, pricing, shipping, returns, and customer service for affiliate products are controlled by the third-party retailer, not BNR.
Amazon Associates required disclosure: BNR is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you click an Amazon link on the Platform, Amazon may set cookies on your device.
The Platform includes an AI-powered hairstyle previewer that generates simulated images based on a photo you upload and a style you select. This feature uses prepaid Style Credits.
You may close your account at any time by emailing bnrcustomerservice@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. We will confirm the closure request and process it within 10 business days.
On account closure:
Unclaimed funds. If your account is inactive (no logins, bookings, or wallet activity) for 12 consecutive months and you do not respond to a closure notice sent to your registered email, your wallet balance may be forfeited to BNR as administrative abandonment, subject to applicable state unclaimed-property law. Where state law requires escheatment of unclaimed balances to the state, BNR will comply with that law.
BNR reserves the right to refuse service, suspend or terminate accounts, or remove content for any lawful reason, including suspected fraud, abuse, violation of these Terms, or risk to the Platform or its users.
BNR is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, internet or telecommunications failures, third-party service outages (including Stripe, Supabase, Netlify, or other infrastructure providers), pandemics, or labor disputes.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". BNR is a technology platform that connects clients with independent barbers. Barbers are independent contractors, not employees, agents, partners, or joint ventures of BNR. BNR does not supervise, direct, or control the work performed by barbers, does not set barber schedules beyond what barbers self-select, and does not guarantee the quality, safety, skill, training, certification, licensure, or lawful conduct of any barber. You acknowledge and agree that any agreement, service, or transaction performed at a shop is strictly between you and the barber. BNR is not a party to any such transaction and is not responsible for any injury, damage, loss, or dissatisfaction arising from services rendered by a barber. You are solely responsible for evaluating barber profiles, reviews, credentials, and any work performed before, during, or after your appointment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BNR's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid BNR in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100 USD. BNR is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages, including without limitation poor haircuts, allergic reactions, or emotional distress.
You agree to indemnify BNR from claims arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Small claims exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes under $5,000 USD, provided the court has jurisdiction and the action remains in that court.
Arbitration for larger disputes: Any dispute of $5,000 USD or greater that is not resolved informally within 30 days must be resolved through binding arbitration in Ada County, Idaho, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Judgment on any award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
No class actions: You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis. Class arbitration, class action, or representative proceedings are not permitted.
Opt-out: You may opt out of arbitration by sending written notice to bnrcustomerservice@gmail.com within 30 days of account creation.
The Platform is in pre-launch and beta status. Features, pricing, policies, and functionality may change frequently. Beta users acknowledge and accept:
By using the Platform during beta, you acknowledge these conditions and release BNR from claims arising from beta-related changes or issues, except for claims that cannot be waived under applicable law.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new "Last updated" date and may be sent by email or notified in-app.
